Fresh appeal in hunt for rapist
Police
A mobile incident room has been set up
Police are stepping up the hunt for a rapist who seriously sexually assaulted a 10-year-old girl in Kent three months ago.

The girl was snatched from outside the Ray Allen Community Centre on the Stanhope Estate in Ashford and later raped on nearby wasteland on 15 November last year.

Despite an intensive investigation by Kent Police, the rapist was never found.

As part of a renewed appeal, police have released an e-fit and description of a man that was seen at a bus stop near the scene of the attack between 2030 GMT and 2100 GMT on the night of the incident.

E-fit
Police hope the E-fit will yield new information

He is described as being in his late 20s or early 30s, between 5ft 7ins and 5ft 8ins with a skinny build and wore blue jeans, a dark top and either a hat or a hood.

A mobile police investigation unit has also been set up in the car park of the Ray Allen Centre where the public can view photos and maps of the area in the hope that they will jog someone's memory.

The mobile unit will be in place for a week from Thursday and will be open from 1200 GMT - 2000 GMT.
