Dean of Reading on child porn charge
Thames Valley Police headquarters
Police arrested Father Michael O'Kelly last October
The Dean of Reading has been charged by police in connection with the seizure of pornographic images of children.

Catholic priest Father Michael O'Kelly, 46, will appear before magistrates in Newbury on 20 February.

A Thames Valley Police spokeswoman said Father O'Kelly has been charged with the possession of indecent pseudo photos of children.

He has also been charged with making indecent pseudo photos of children.

He has been on administrative leave since his arrest on 15 October last year in a joint operation between the force and Customs and Excise.

Police seized material from his home in a dawn raid following an inquiry into material posted to the UK.
