Man arrested over body in suitcase
Hyo Jung Jin
Hyo Jung Jin arrived in the UK in October
A man has been arrested in London over the death of a Korean woman whose body was found in a suitcase in a hedge in North Yorkshire.

Scotland Yard said a 30-year-old man was arrested in the West End on Thursday evening, and is currently in custody at a north London police station.

The badly decomposed body of Hyo Jung Jin, 21, was found in a country lane near the village of Askham Richard, near York, on 18 November last year.

Miss Jin, who arrived in the UK on 25 October, had been suffocated.

Miss Jin, a student at Lyon University in France, was reported missing after she failed to return for the start of a new term following the trip to London.

Another Korean woman is also missing.

In Hea Song, 22, a student at London's Guildhall University, disappeared on 8 December.

She had been in the UK since August. Both women had stayed at the same east London flat often used by Korean students, police said.
