State school participation rate

This table shows the percentage of former state school pupils starting full-time first degree courses at UK universities in 2007-08.

Institutions are listed alphabetically by home nation.

The second figure is the "benchmark" rate set by the funding council - using a methodology contested by some.

The "Sig.?" column shows whether the indicator was better (+) or worse (-) than the benchmark by an amount statisticians regard as significant.
