England secondary schools and colleges

Secondary schools and colleges in England ranked on their 2008 exam results.

To find your way around use the links on the right of every page:

  • enter a school or town name in the relevant search box or, to find an area,
  • enter a full postcode or
  • use the England Secondary dropdown list of local authorities

There are results from more than 4,000 maintained and independent schools in the 150 local authority geographical areas, and tables comparing their exam performance - with a page of information for every institution.

As well as GCSEs and equivalent vocational qualifications, results are also given for A/AS-levels.

The tables include "contextual value added" measures showing how much progress children made from their Key Stage 2 tests to the end of Key Stage 4, and from there until the end of Key Stage 5.
