Tories warn over violence in schools

Police forces in England say that they had to send officers into schools in response to complaints of violence on 7,000 occasions last year.

The figures were obtained by the Conservatives under the Freedom of Information Act.

Shadow Children's Secretary Michael Gove says the figures show teachers need to be given more powers to deal with disruptive children.
