Meeting to tackle town's problems

Residents in Cumbria are to be given the chance to improve their town.

They will be asked what they want done to improve Appleby ranging from removing chewing gum from the pavements to tackling anti-social behaviour.

Cumbria County Council is introducing the "Together We Can" campaign with the help of Eden District Council as well as local police and the fire service.

A drop-in session will be held at Centre 67 in Chapel Street, Appleby on Tuesday afternoon.
