Several world records for running in fancy dress have been broken as up to 36,000 people took part in this year's London Marathon.

Sir Richard Branson and Princess Beatrice were among those taking part in the race, with crowds cheering them on along the way.

Sir Richard was dressed up as a butterfly, and Princess Beatrice wore black with a lime green tutu - to form part of a human caterpillar.
