'Ash cloud restrictions will stay in place'

The National Air Traffic Service has extended the ban on flights until at least 1am on Sunday morning.

Some domestic flights may be able to take off from Scotland and Northern Ireland if there is an improvement in the situation.

Paul Haskins, Head of Safety at NATS told the BBC that "safety would be the number one priority"
