Harsh winter affects British wildlife


The harsh winter in Britain may have had a devastating impact on wildlife, particularly on birds like the kingfisher.

That is the warning from British Waterways, the organisation which looks after the canals and rivers up and down the UK.

It says that the freezing conditions may have made it hard for wildlife to find food.
