Beckham scarf seen as 'coup' for Manchester United fans

David Beckham has insisted he was not taking sides when he put on a green and gold scarf following Manchester United's Champions League win over his AC Milan side.

The colours have been adopted by United fans unhappy with the Glazer family's ownership of the club.

He says he wasn't aware of the politics, but for campaigners the gesture has been seen as a huge coup.
