Authorities believe a five-year-old British boy kidnapped in Pakistan will be freed unharmed, as his abduction was linked to a "family dispute", Pakistan's high commissioner to the UK has said.

Wajid Shamsul Hasan also dismissed earlier reports that Sahil Saeed, from Oldham in Greater Manchester, had been found. The child was seized by an armed gang in Punjab while staying with relatives.
