IED expert dies in explosion in Afghanistan

An improvised explosive device (IED) expert has been killed, as British troops prepare to play their role in Operation Moshtarak.

It is the fifth summer in a row that UK troops have taken part in military operations in Helmand, Afghanistan.

The BBC's Ian Pannell, embedded with British troops, reports from Nad e Ali, a Taleban stronghold.
