MP criticises 'lack of terror guidance'

The Home Office has warned that a terrorist attack in the UK is now considered "highly likely".

The Home Secretary, Alan Johnson, said that the change did not mean an attack was imminent.

Conservative MP Patrick Mercer, chairman of the Home Affairs sub-committee on counter terrorism says it is absurd not to tell the public what to look out for.

He told BBC News "The general public are as ignorant now as they were this time yesterday".
