High-level nuclear waste is being sent from UK to Japan


A consignment of high-level nuclear material is being transported from Sellafield to Japan for the first time.

The waste is being taken to Barrow in Furness by train inside a specially constructed container.

John Moylan watched as it arrived at the dock.
