British hostage Peter Moore, who was held captive in Iraq for more than two-and-a-half years, has been freed.

The British IT consultant, working for an American firm, was one of five men seized at the Iraqi finance ministry in 2007 by a militant group posing as Iraqi policemen.

Three were shot dead and their bodies returned to the UK. The fourth, Alan McMenemy, is also thought to have been killed.

Frank Gardner reports.
