I rely on cheques to run my business

Cheques will be phased out by October 2018, a decision which has been met by disappointment from some small businesses and consumers.

The board of the UK Payments Council has set the date in a bid to encourage the advance of other forms of payment.

Builder Roy Lilley, says he doesn't trust any other form of cash alternative and his business relies on people paying by cheque.
