The jury in the case of the Italian Meredith Kercher murder trial has been sent out to consider its verdict.

Raffaele Sollecito, 25, and his ex-girlfriend, American Amanda Knox, 22, deny murdering the British student in 2007.

A third person charged with the brutal killing, Ivory Coast national Rudy Guede, 22, was found guilty in October last year.

Knox's father, Curt Knox, spoke to the BBC's Duncan Kennedy about the effect the trial has had on his family, the media's obsession with his daughter and his feelings about Meredith Kercher's parents.
