Jacqui Janes, the mother of a soldier killed in Afghanistan, has given her first television interview since the controversy started over a letter of condolence sent to her by Gordon Brown.
She defended her decision to go public in The Sun newspaper after she received what she says was an "insulting" letter.
Mrs Janes also said Mr Brown did not sound apologetic in his phone call to her, but after hearing his comments at Tuesday's press conference, she now accepted his apology.
Earlier, Gordon Brown said he understood her grief and that the last thing on his mind was to cause her any offence.
