PM apology for condolence letter

Gordon Brown has publicly apologised for a letter of condolence he sent to the mother of a soldier who was killed in Afghanistan.

Jacqui Janes had called the letter about her son's death a "hastily scrawled insult" but now says she accepts the apology given by Gordon Brown.
