Nuclear plants given go-ahead

The government has approved 10 sites in England and Wales for new nuclear power stations, most near locations where there are already plants.

The new plants will be fast-tracked through the planning process, but the government says people living near the proposed sites will have plenty of opportunities to make their views known.
