Nine European countries participate in the EuroMillions lottery

The National Lottery's operator is to announce whether the winners of the UK's largest-ever lottery prize are individuals or part of a syndicate. It is thought one of the owners of two British tickets who will share the £90m (100m euros) Euromillions jackpot is a group of IT workers from Liverpool. Camelot said it still had to verify the claims for £45,570,835.50. If one person, rather than a syndicate, owns either ticket it will be the UK's biggest individual lottery win. It is thought the winning syndicate of seven or eight staff work at BT's Royal House centre in Wood Street, Liverpool. A spokesman for Camelot said: "Camelot can neither confirm or deny rumours of any winners." Paid out Until now, the biggest single win was by Angela Kelly, from South Lanarkshire, who won more than £35m (39m euros) in August 2007. Camelot say they will not yet release any details of the winners to allow the claims to be checked and the money paid out.

If it was split into 90 £1million prizes - that would be 90 families with enough money for a new home and an easier life. Wouldn't that be better?
