Afghan policeman kills UK soldiers

Five British soldiers have been shot dead in Helmand Province, by a "rogue" Afghan policeman, but PM Gordon Brown has said the Taliban could have infiltrated the police.

The soldiers, three from the Grenadier Guards and two from the Royal Military Police, had been mentoring and living with the Afghan police in a compound.

The Afghan officer opened fire, injuring several others, before fleeing.

John Simpson reports.
