Items from a large haul of Anglo-Saxon treasure discovered in Staffordshire have gone on display at the British Museum.

The rare artefacts, which could be valued at more than £1m, are thought to date from the 7th Century.

They were unearthed with the help of a metal detector from a farmer's field in July.

Nick Higham reports.
