When Prince William met Sarah

Prince William faced a fear by meeting and holding Sarah the tarantula shortly before he opened the new multi-million pound Darwin Centre at the Natural History Museum in London.

The Prince was invited onto the stage, and was offered the Mexican red-kneed tarantula to hold as he joined a group of youngsters.

After a moment of hesitation he took the spider into his hands and later admitted he had been "petrified" of it.
