At Camp Bastion field hospital in Helmand, British medical staff including military, reservists and civilians from the NHS, work around the clock to save lives.

More than 60% of wounded British soldiers treated at the field hospital are able to return to the frontline in Helmand.

The BBC's defence correspondent Caroline Wyatt reports.
