Al-Qaeda links to UK bomb plots

The plan by three British men to detonate homemade bombs on seven transatlantic flights may have been directed by a man with links to al-Qaeda.

The security services believe they were helped from Pakistan by Rashid Rauf who has also been linked with the July 7th bombings in London.
