Gordon Brown has pledged support for British victims of IRA bombings, who want compensation from Libya for supplying explosives which were used in terrorist attacks.

The announcement comes amid criticism of the government for failing to put pressure on Libya to pay compensation.

Speaking at a news conference in Berlin Mr Brown said "we will continue to step up our support, by establishing dedicated Foreign Office support to the victims campaign".
