Salmond defends Lockerbie decision

Scotland's First Minister, Alex Salmond, has defended Scottish Justice Secretary Kenny MacAskill's decision to release Lockerbie bomber Abdelbaset Ali al-Megrahi.

Speaking to the BBC, Mr Salmond said that Mr Megrahi's release on compassionate grounds had received "huge international support", including that of Nelson Mandela.
