Crowds applaud WWI veteran's cortege

Crowds of people lined the streets of Wells as the cortege passed through of WWI veteran Harry Patch, who died at the age of 111.

He was Britain's last surviving soldier who fought in the trenches during the Great War.

The Duchess of Cornwall and Duchess of Gloucester are among the congregation attending his funeral service at Wells Cathedral.
