'He was an inspirational character'

Air Chief Marshal Sir Glenn Torpy, Chief of the Air Staff has paid tribute to Henry Allingham, the world's oldest WWI serviceman who has died aged 113.

He described Mr Allingham who served with the Royal Naval Air Service in WWI, before transferring to the Royal Air Force as an "inspirational character".
