Local pool closures 'a disgrace'

Dozens of local swimming pools have closed in the last few years, according to the Amateur Swimming Association.

Some councils argue that at an average annual cost of £300,000, local pools are too expensive to run. But some of the UK's swimming Olympians are stepping up pressure on local authorities, with Duncan Goodhuw calling the closures "a disgrace".
