'Suicide vest' police statement

Student Andrew Isa Ibrahim has been jailed for a minimum of 10 years for plotting to blow himself up using his own "suicide vest" and home-made explosives.

Det Supt Nigel Rock of Avon and Somerset Police, who investigated the case, said Ibrahim "had all the components of a credible explosive device" and "had meant to detonate that bomb and cause serious harm".
