Plans to help households go green

Plans to increase solar and wind power, and introduce smart electricity meters have been announced by the government.

It says the measures will help it meet tough targets to cut greenhouse gas emission and help boost the economy.

But there are concerns that the costs of going green may push up prices for householders.

David Shukman reports.
