Taliban 'losing in Afghanistan'

The Chief of Defence Staff, Sir Jock Stirrup, has said it is important to remember what British troops have achieved in Afghanistan, as news broke that eight more British soldiers were killed in the past 24 hours.

He said people were fighting in "extremely adverse conditions", but that the Taliban were losing.
