Energy suppliers 'overcharging'

The independent watchdog Consumer Focus has accused energy suppliers of failing to fully pass on price cuts in wholesale energy prices.

It says consumers are paying nearly £1.7 billion too much for gas and electricity.

But the Energy Retail Association says the research is misleading.
