Brown's sympathy at UK hostage deaths

Prime Minister Gordon Brown has expressed his sympathy after the deaths of two British hostages in Iraq were confirmed, saying the entire country offered its condolences to their families.

Earlier, the Foreign Office said remains handed over in Baghdad were highly likely to be those of Jason Swindlehurst, from Skelmersdale, Lancashire, and Jason Creswell, from Glasgow.

The two security guards were abducted in Baghdad in May 2007, along with two other guards and the IT consultant they were protecting, Peter Moore. It is believed they are still being held.
