Lady Thatcher's operation 'a success'

Surgery to insert a pin into Baroness Thatcher's broken arm has been a "complete success", her son has said.

Speaking shortly after the operation ended, Sir Mark Thatcher also thanked medical staff and spoke of his delight that the procedure had gone so well.

The 83-year-old former prime minister was taken to Chelsea and Westminster Hospital in central London on Friday after she fell.
