How to tag a shark

A three-day effort to tag and count as many sharks off the west coast of Scotland starts on Friday.

Many species found here are endangered but Scotland still issues permits to allow finning - the practice of cutting fins off the living shark and dumping the low-value carcass at sea.

Ian Burrett of the Scottish Sea Anglers' Conservation Network shows how the sharks are tagged and explains why the project is so important.
