Downturn 'double whammy' for over 50s

As the economic downturn continues, one charity is claiming that people over the age of 50 are facing "a recession double whammy".

A quarter of people surveyed by Age Concern said that they were afraid of losing their jobs because of their age. Many more were worried that their pension and savings would not be enough to provide them with a comfortable standard of living in retirement.
