Writer Sanjeev Singh Kohli looks at the changing face of Glasgow

Are bridges the holy grail of urban regeneration?

All this week, BBC News is looking at how the UK's cities and towns are being transformed by eye-catching new buildings, cultural centres, roads and other infrastructure.

Once a city in industrial decline, Glasgow's wharves and docks are giving way to high-rise flats and office blocks. More than £5 billion is being spent regenerating the Clyde waterfront.

A new bridge, the Clyde Arc, is at the centre of the project.

In this video, writer and comedian Sanjeev Singh Kohli looks at the changing face of Glasgow.

Then, see underneath the bridge and learn how it stays up by clicking the My Bridge tab above.

On Wednesday Cityscapes will look at how cultural centres have changed cities like Gateshead.
