Bomb-proof wall makes mess of lorry

The BBC has had unique access to a simulated suicide truck bomb test carried out as part of counter-terrorism plans to protect public spaces.

The test involved a 7.5 tonne lorry being driven at high speed at a special security wall - and coming off the loser.

The tests are run by a secret team of government scientists and ministers want cities around the UK to do more to protect themselves from suicide bomber tactics.

Daniel Sandford explains how the security wall works - and watches the result of the truck's collision.
