The government has launched a £140m scheme to offer free pool swimming to people aged 16 and under or over 60 in England.

The BBC's James Pearce spoke to Culture Secretary Andy Burnham about the new scheme as he took a dip at a pool in Greenwich.

Mr Burnham said: "I love swimming, that's why we're making it free".
