PM on Royal succession reform

Gordon Brown has discussed plans with Buckingham Palace to reform laws which bar monarchs from marrying Catholics and discriminate against female heirs to the throne.

Speaking in Brazil, the prime minister said nothing should be done that would affect the position of the Queen or the monarchy.
