For the first time in 12 years unemployment in the UK has risen above two million, according to new figures.
The total of people looking for work is 2.03 million and the number of people claiming a jobseekers allowance has jumped by 75% in the past 12 months.
The Prime Minister has expressed his "personal regret" that people are losing their jobs.
