PM cool on alcohol price plan


Prime Minister Gordon Brown has given a lukewarm response to proposals for minimum prices for alcohol.

Chief Medical Officer for England Sir Liam Donaldson believes that setting the lowest price at 50p will help to curb binge drinking.
