Violence against women policy review

The Government is proposing that police may be able to warn people who start relationships with partners who have been convicted of domestic violence.

The idea is being put forward in a major review of the way domestic violence is dealt with.

The Home Secretary, Jacqui Smith, gave more details of what the consultation will cover and told the BBC sharing information on violent partners is one of the proposals under consideration.
