Holidays abroad, the last resort?

The cost of holidaying abroad has soared in the past few months. The weak pound against the Euro and dollar means that many holidays are becoming unaffordable.

However, research carried out by the Tourism Authority suggests that although patterns are changing, there is reluctance to cancel a planned break.

The BBC's Robert Hall met holidaymakers in the New Forest in Hampshire who said they were making more modest holiday plans due to the economic crisis.
