Streakers entertain at Derby

Streaker: Bare-faced cheek
A pair of streakers have livened up the Derby by running round the course after the race.

Officials at Epsom said the naked men appeared to burst out from the Club Enclosure just after the main race, which was watched by the Queen and Queen Mother.

They then made a dash for the finish line with one collapsing in mock exhaustion before they were apprehended by security guards.

A Vodafone Derby spokeswoman said: "It was all very amusing, really.

"It was just after the horses had finished that these men came over from the Club Enclosure.

"We're not quite sure how they managed to do it because the fence is very high, but they did.

"Then they ran along and one of them pretended to fall over as he crossed the line.

"They must have been out there for about two minutes before the crowd control men came and picked them up.

"The crowd were still cheering from the race and they kept going for these two guys."

A Surrey police spokeswoman said two men had been arrested for streaking at Epsom.

"They are currently being held in custody at Reigate police station," she added.
