Kriss Akabusi talks of abuse

The Olympic medallist Kriss Akabusi has revealed that he suffered physical abuse when he was privately fostered as a child.

A report by the British Association for Adoption and Fostering (BAAF) says not all carers inform the authorities when they are looking after a child who is not a close relative.

Kriss Akabusi said he was surprised that private fostering was still going on today.
